About Anna Mary's....

ANNA MARY BYLER was a kind, devoted Mennonite mother of 13 and a loving grandmother. She loved to do things for others and often used her baking skills to bless others. Especially popular was her chock-full-of-nuts fruit cake that she baked at Christmas time and her moist and flavorful pound cake. She gave away many cakes to family and friends.

Anna Mary passed to her eternal home in 1991. Today we honor her memory and goodwill by making and marketing her cakes in her name!

We started with Anna Mary's Gourmet Nut Cake. While returning from Anna Mary's funeral, Barbara (Anna Mary's seventh child) wondered aloud “if Mom's [nut] cakes would sell.” Long story short, within three years our family and three employees baked over three tons of cakes in a few short weeks! Every cake was mixed and then packed into pans by hand. And still is.....

We expanded into other products. We dug out her Old-Fashioned Pound Cake recipes and started producing them. Growth was inevitable as they quickly became popular as thousands of discriminating customers were satisfied with their worthwhile calories. Every pound cake is made from scratch with no added preservatives or flavor enhancers.

Next was her Green Tomato Relish. Anna Mary was a frugal lady. After the first killing frost she would go out to her garden and pick all the green tomatoes and peppers and make this unusually good relish. Here it is! Specially selected ingredients and a special mixing process make up this extraordinary relish.

Everyone that knows the quality of Anna Mary's products agrees that they are a fitting tribute to Anna Mary - because she always insisted on the best!
